A small project exploring the use of prefabricated metallic structures used in industrial settings, in a mixed-use architectural program.

The project aims to leverage the efficiency of industrial frameworks but adapted for urban, residential, and commercial spaces. Rather than creating strictly industrial forms, the team seeks to add symbolic and instrumental value, transforming neutral systems into dynamic, multi-purpose spaces. Inspired by ordinary, generic architectural forms, the project reflects Marinaro’s architectural philosophy of working within the constraints of industrial materials while adding unique value to them. This approach stems from Marinaro’s Master’s thesis at the ETSAM in Madrid, where he explores the adaptation of large-scale, industrial components to suit urban environments, adding layers of meaning and functionality to otherwise neutral systems.
